L.M.D Program
The L.M.D program, commonly referred to as LMD, enhances the mobility of Algerian students, fostering flexibility across disciplines and bridging professional and general education programs.
3rd cycle Doctorate (L.M.D)
The aim of the Ph.D. Dissertation is to showcase the candidate's capacity to conduct an original research project, addressing significant challenges in scientific, technological, and socio-economic domains.
The completion of a Ph.D. thesis requires the creation of an original research project, which must be published in at least one peer-reviewed scientific journal. The process concludes with the drafting and defense of the thesis.
The thesis involves a written presentation followed by an oral defense of the conducted research work.
The thesis represents the efforts of a single candidate.
The thesis document should be written in the official national language.
It can also be written in a different language with explicit authorization from the institution's head, following a reasoned opinion from the scientific council of the relevant university entity or the authorized institution's scientific or pedagogical council.
A summary in the national language is mandatory and must accompany the thesis file when officially submitted for evaluation.
Theses composed in a language other than the national language should also provide a summary written in the superior-level language of composition.
Conditions for Admission to 3rd Cycle Doctorate (L.M.D)
Access to the 3rd Cycle Doctorate is based on a competitive exam for students holding a Master's degree or an equivalent qualification.
Components of the Application file for the L.M.D Doctorate Admission Exam
The file includes:
• An application form (downloadable in Arabic and French)
• Copy of the master's degree
• Annex of the master's degree
Application files should be submitted to the respective faculties (following the details outlined in the circular) Registration file components:
1. Doctorate Registration Form (downloadable from the University's website) (complete the section designated for doctoral students).
2. Birth certificate (No. 12).
3. Original Master's degree.
4. Original Master's degree transcripts
5. Original Annex of the master's degree
6. Copy of Bachelor’s degree transcript.
7. Copies of diplomas (Graduate degree, Magister/Master degree).
8. 03 ID-sized photos.
9. Employer's authorization for employees.
10. Non-Activity and Non-Affiliation (CNAS and CASNOS) for non-employees.
11. Specimen from the Center for Scientific and Technical Information Research (CERIST) (coordinate with the affiliated faculty).
12. Evidence of payment for registration fees (at the affiliated faculty).
13. Honor declaration (downloadable from the University's website).
(This set of documents should exist in duplicate, with one copy submitted to the Vice Rectorate of Postgraduate Studies and the other to the respective faculty.)

- A re-enrollment template (downloadable)
- Receipt of re-enrollment fees
