The Vice Rectorate of Postgraduate Training, University Empowerment, Scientific Research and Postgraduate Training is headed by

Scientific Research is the foundation of the existence of the University and an indispensable asset for the socio-economic development of a nation.
At the University of May 8, 1945, Guelma, emphasis is placed on scientific research, manifested in the following priorities:
- Train autonomous and skilled researchers.
- Organize the transmission of knowledge and provide a genuine impetus to research, through well-defined objectives and the mobilization of expertise.
- Actively participating in the study and resolution of societal issues.
- Adopting a deliberate choice to disseminate information constructively and transparently, utilizing modern technologies (NTIC) to achieve the University's objectives.
The Vice Rectorate of Postgraduate Studies, University Empowerment and Scientific Research aims to:
- Overseeing matters related to the conduct of the Post-Graduation, Specialized Postgraduate and University habilitation courses, ensuring compliance with current regulations.
- Monitor the activities of Research Units and Laboratories.
- Executing actions for the Valorization of Research Results
- Follow up of the Scientific Council of the University and its archives
- Collect and disseminate comprehensive information on research activities conducted by the University
This administrative structure includes the following services:
- Service of Postgraduate and Specialized Post-Graduation ,
- University Habilitation Service,
- Service for Monitoring Research Activities and the Promotion of its Results.
